I confess, I cheated. I was tired of coming out all warm and fuzzy when
actually I’m cold and scary. Or at least, so I’m informed…
Feeling content and loved yet? This quiz leaves something to be desired in the way of accuracy.
I can’t just rewrite Colony; I need some sort of structural
obsession attached to the act. I believe there are ninety-seven stanzas to
Locksley
Hall - maybe I’ll aim for ninety-seven scenes to
go with them. I didn’t use the whole poem last time because of the depressing
Amy content (and because 35,000 words doesn’t add up to 97 scenes), but this
time…I need a challenge to make this editorial purgatory more interesting.

You devilish little tearaway,
you - you require parental guidance. That means mummy should hold
your hand before you do anything. How cool you are…

- take it here.
Most people cheat on the questions - I cheat on the HTML code. If you take
the quiz, it won’t come out that pretty, but feel free to snag my code and
paste your own results in there.
That quiz was made with an ASP script, by the way. (Boo! Windows! Ick!)
I’ll stick to my Perl script, but the idea
of faking an image with cool style or font-size tricks is worth remembering. I
should be rewriting Colony, but I’m way behind on that quiz I promised.
Time to multitask…
Assay and essay are radically the same word; but modern usage has appropriated assay chiefly
to experiments in metallurgy, and essay to intellectual and bodily efforts. –Webster’s, 1913

The answers were a bit of a giveaway, even after many years out of Narnia.
For something more practical, see the latest issue of
zendom, in which Christine
gives helpful advice on evolving from a tree sloth into a writer.
The numbers of VOY bloggers seem to be increasing. I was checking out
what I believe is
Astrogirl’s blog, but she doesn’t
exactly sign it anywhere. From there I found some of the old J/C crowd, like
JinnyW and
Yael, and also
this lovely J/C fic quiz:
take
the fic quiz.
because sara said to.
I might as well be C/7, indeed. You can check out the other possibilities
from the results
page. It certainly says something about JetCdom that the only insulting
result (”Creation of Braga”) is the one for canon.
And I was about to get all sentimental about the bad old days. I think I’ll
get back to that Garak/7 fic, instead.
It’s only deep if you don’t know what it means. It’s only angsty if you don’t
know why they’re so unhappy. And it’s only burnout if you’ve lost track of the
number of stories you’ve written…
