Now reigning in Hell (or serving in Heaven)

Rest in peace, Ricardo Montalbán.
I wrote a Stargate/Voyager crossover once, but GateWorld has news of a much bigger project: Stargate Universe.
At first I thought this was some kind of programming joke, but it’s even funnier than that: Python Trek.
For Jade: Ken Cancelosi speculates on how William Shatner has survived the redshirt-level carnage associated with starring in a Trek series.
You can still hear the shout heard ’round the Alpha Quadrant at www.khaaan.com.
Yes, Krako, the Federation is just a protection racket.
Here’s an unrelated but classic episode lolcat…
[Update:] Here’s another funny Trek Day article: A Conservative Trek. The dialogue is great:
Kirk: “Spock, what are the odds that another planet’s evolutionary process would not only yield bipeds who speak English, but wrote a complex assertion of individual rights on parchment?”
Spock: “Theoretically, it is possible, Captain.”
Kirk: “Well, that settles it; I’d best reorder their society with some overemoting.”
Take the darkness of Enterprise and add it to the primary colors of Star Trek: The Animated Series and you may get an on-line animated Trek series.
The setting is the year 2528 and the Federation is a different place after suffering through a devastating war with the Romulans 60 years earlier. The war was sparked off after a surprise attack of dozens of ‘Omega particle’ detonations throughout the Federation creating vast areas which become impassible to warp travel and essentially cut off almost half the Federation from the rest. During the war the Klingon homeworld was occupied by the Romulans, all of Andoria was destroyed and the Vulcans, who were negotiating reunification with the Romulans, pulled out of the Federation.
Later on the article mentions that the Romulans weren’t responsible for the Omega particle attack. I’m guessing the Borg dunnit.

I thought they didn’t exist, but then I found some TNG transcripts.
Today’s filk of the day isn’t really a filk. It’s the lyrics to the TOS theme, by the Great Bird himself. Note the karaoke image; you can just see Khan’s red pajamas under the blacked-out part of the viewscreen.
Just in case anyone out there still cares…I stumbled across a page of Star Trek: Voyager transcripts. Many thanks to Chakoteya for the effort.
