Eye of Argon

Colonel Chekov stormed out of the briefing room.

"General, I apologize--"

"Don't worry about it, Colonel. You showed admirable restraint."

"I did?"

"For you." Hammond chuckled. "Colonel Chekov can be exasperating, not unlike other colonels I know."

Jack chose to ignore that comment. "I wonder what the Eye of Argon did. I mean, besides getting Ruskies killed."

Hammond shrugged. "Maybe the Eye of Tiamat was supposed to sow division between Goa'uld factions."

"Marduk seemed unduly attached to it. I can see those snakeheads backstabbing each other over..." Jack's voice trailed off.

"I can see that," the General agreed.

"Yeah."
