Everyone in the Air Force dreams of being an astronaut, just like everyone wants to be a pilot. Eventually you grow up and get on with the job. Even when the job is walking through a stargate to a new planet every week, you don't think of yourself as having the right stuff.

Then one day the snakehead who used to be your friend does a fly-by of Saturn just to prove a point, and you're sitting in a tin can, far above the world. Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing you can do.

But you're an astronaut.
